1908
Johann Bergmann
For more than 110 years, the family owned company Johann Bergmann has been extracting, processing, and refining limestone in Germany. The high-quality natural limestone extracted here is the raw material for a wide range of applications, e.g. in the construction materials, glass, iron, steel and animal feed industries, in the liming of lakes, and the chemical industry.
1978
Maxit
For decades Maxit have been leading the dry mortar industry in Germany. It all began in 1978 with just three employees in Azendorf, in form of collaboration between the Johann Bergmann and Mathis; over the last 47 years Franken Maxit has developed into an international operating company with more than 1,200 employees at 17 locations. Maxit produce a vast range dry mortar products for the residential and commercial markets in Europe and have a large focus on innovation & sustainability.
1998
Nu - Plaster Ltd
Founded in 1995 by Fred Chard, Nu-Age Plaster Ltd can look back 30 very successful years in the production and sale of dry mortar products, e.g. plasters and screeds, at its plant in Matamata, New Zealand. Nu-Age and Bergmann-Kalk have been working in a close and friendly collaboration for years.
In 2018 Fred Chard formed a partnership in New Zealand with Bergmann Kalk.
Exymix
With the passing of Fred Chard in December 2020, Bergmann Kalk acquired full ownership of Nu - Age Plaster Ltd.
Ezymix as a brand has been present in the New Zealand construction industry for 20 years but has become more well known in the past decade due to the development of pre blended bagged mortars and concrete products.
To align itself with the success of the Ezymix branded products the company was renamed Ezymix.
Ezymix customers will now benefit form a successful combination of tried and tested international product know-how, sophisticated production technology and a skilled team of local Kiwis who are at your disposal to provide advice and support.
